It’s safe to say that 2024 has been a year to remember for Tyneside Home Improvements. We’re thrilled to share that this year has been a bumper year for awards at Tyneside, and we can’t thank our incredible team enough for their hard work.
We’d like to share a recap of some of our recent successes and the recognition we’ve received for our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction!

GGP Installer Award – Best Conservatory or Orangery Installation (up to £35,000)
First and foremost, we were absolutely delighted to be recognised back in March for our exceptional work at the GGP Installer Awards. We scooped the top prize for the best orangery or conservatory installation costing under £35K!
The winning project was a stunning hybrid orangery, a design that combines the solidity of a traditional orangery with the expansive glass roof of a conservatory. Our win was a true testament to the quality of our installations and customer service.
We were absolutely delighted to bag this win and our team had a fantastic time at the award ceremony in Manchester.
North East Apprenticeship Awards – SME Employer of the Year
Our success didn’t stop there!
We were also incredibly proud to win SME Employer of the Year at the North East Apprenticeship Awards. This accolade acknowledges our commitment to nurturing the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
Currently, eight talented apprentices are gaining valuable experience within our company, ensuring a bright future for the industry.
G24 Awards: “Unsung Hero” and “Training & Development” Shortlists
We are absolutely thrilled to say that we have been nominated in not one but two prestigious categories in the upcoming G awards!
The G24 Awards are highly regarded within the glass and glazing industry, recognising excellence and innovation across the UK.
We’re thrilled that Chris Green, our Commercial Director, has been nominated for the “Unsung Hero” category, in recognition of Chris’s work to bring in new talent via his work with our apprentices.
We’ve been nominated in two prestigious categories at the upcoming G24 Awards: our Commercial Director Chris Green has been shortlisted in the “Unsung Hero” category, a category which recognises for Chris’s incredible work fostering a thriving apprenticeship scheme. We’ve also been shortlisted in the “Training and Development” category for our commitment to upskilling the workforce.
We’re incredibly excited to attend the ceremony in London on Friday 29th November and see how we fare. Wish us luck!
