As the festive decorations get packed away and we return to work with renewed enthusiasm, it’s a great time for us at Tyneside Home Improvements to celebrate the past year and look ahead to all that 2024 will bring. There was much to celebrate in 2023, but here are a few of our highlights.
Celebrations and accomplishments
2023 was a year of celebration for us at Tyneside Home Improvements. Last year we celebrated a whopping 15 years in business! Our accomplishments wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication of our incredible team, and the trust placed in us by homeowners across the North East.
We also celebrated getting our SupaLite Registered Installer certificate this year, which means we can continue to offer our outstanding lightweight conservatory roofs for newbuild extensions and existing roof replacements!
Expanding our operations
As we continue to transform North East homes, we have been steadily expanding our operations here at THI so that we can offer sustain our current momentum and offer our customers the very best.
Following the continued success of our installations, in 2023 we took delivery of our second Hydraulic Excavator in less than a year. These Hitachi ‘Mini Diggers’ are perfect for gaining access to narrow spaces around residential homes, meaning we can continue to provide stunning conservatories and orangeries even to those with limited access around their properties!
The skills and expertise of our team is the foundation of all we do here at THI, so we not only took our staff to training events last year but we also expanded our team in 2023: we hired two new apprentices from Tyne Metropolitan College and Gateshead College, and we took on seven new members of staff!
Connecting with our community
We have always placed a huge importance on connecting with our local community, so in 2023 we are thrilled to have sponsored three local sports teams. We have also been featured in several local publications – including the October issue of Living North Magazine which contains local news, recipes, lifestyle articles and more.
Recognition for our successes
2023 was a fantastic year for Tyneside Home Improvements – our excellence was recognised by SupaLite, who awarded us an ‘Installer of the Month’ award in May.
We also won Ultraframe’s ‘Installer of the Month’ award two months running in August and September for our new build installations!
In December, Tyneside Home Improvements won the Business Awards UK ‘Builder of the Year’ award which was a fantastic end to 2023 – this award also came with a stunning trophy which we proudly have on display.

What does 2024 have in store?
If our wrap-up of 2023 is anything to go by, at Tyneside Home Improvements we are going to go from strength to strength!
