Ask UsConservatories are known for their predominantly glazed roofs, allowing for maximum natural light and a connection to the outdoors. Orangeries, on the other hand, often incorporate brick pillars for a more permanent feel and typically feature a solid roof with integrated windows instead of a glazed roof.
Both Victorian and Edwardian conservatories are beautiful and classic styles, but there are some key differences between each type of conservatory. Victorian conservatories have a more ornate, multi-faceted roofline with a steeper pitch, while Edwardian conservatories boast a simpler, cleaner line with a central high-pitched roof. Victorian conservatories have a more dramatic and grand feel, whereas Edwardian conservatories offer a sense of balance and elegance.
