Masterpiece or disasterpiece – Vol II

It’s that time of the week again. Friday’s here and while we might all be looking forward to the weekend, the poor souls who have to go home to these – let’s call them attempts – at home improvement, may fell a little less excitable about home time.

We’re not one’s to blow our own trumpets at Tyneside Home Improvements, we prefer to let our customer feedback do it for us, but I think it’s fair to say that as an  award winning company, our work is definitely more thought through than the following list. So let’s take a look and rate and slate some attempts in something we like to call masterpiece or disaster-piece.

Success is an open door

The owners of this home we’re clearly fans of the Harry Potter series when they asked for this homage to the movies.

In the series, young wizards have to run through a wall to reach the mystical platform 9¾. Unfortunately for this household, Harry Potter is not real *spoiler alert* and the reality of the situation is they have a door leading to…well, nowhere.

You’ll be pleased to know a door from Tyneside Home Improvements (link to door page) will always lead somewhere – just not non-existent platforms. Sorry.

Verdict – Masterpiece (for Potter fans)

Regular blog readers may remember this post which included a balcony with no window, door or any real sense of why it was there.

Well, apparently no one told this MENSA member who has gone and done exactly the same thing. We have changed our opinion on this one though. After all, in the hot summer day(s) we get, the shade offered by the balcony will turn out to be invaluable.

If you’re in the market for a window, or French or patio doors give Tyneside Home Improvements a call. We will make sure your door isn’t just there, but is high quality and cost effective.

Verdict – 100% Masterpiece

Enough to drive you mad

Where do we even start with this one? Maybe it’s the (lack of) quality of the concrete, or maybe, just maybe it’s the ski slope sized driveway that even in your wildest dreams, you are not getting anywhere close to in a car with any sort of sensible ground clearance.  We will say one thing though – at least we know where Eddie the Eagle did his training camp for those winter Olympics.

Rest assured a driveway from Tyneside Home Improvements won’t just be at a sensible angle, it will also be made of the highest quality resin materials, meaning value for money and virtually no maintenance.

Verdict – Disasterpiece.

Clearly, the three examples above are, let’s just say less than perfect. But it could have been so much easier if they’d called Tyneside Home Improvement. We aim to provide the best quality home improvements possible, and from feedback from our clients we seem to be doing a pretty good job of it.
